Batch & Brag for X browser extension
Privacy policy
Effective date:
This policy covers Batch & Brag for X, the browser extension made by Jack van der Bilt, @manvankaliber. It describes the extension's data practices, rather than the other products on managing.software.
Information the extension uses
The extension reads follower notifications on X and extracts public account handles, display names, profile photo addresses and verification indicators. It stores these details, collected batch membership and sizes, completion times, post drafts, post links, scheduling status, unlocked rewards and your preferences in local extension storage in your browser profile.
It checks open tab URLs to find X notifications, prepare drafts and associate submitted posts with their batches. It does not request access to your general browsing history.
When you enable optional background monitoring, it reads X's ct0 session cookie and sends authenticated notification requests to X using your existing signed-in browser session. It does not ask for your X password or save the cookie value in extension storage.
Network requests and sharing
The extension contacts X to read notifications and prepare posts. It submits or schedules posts when you request those actions or enable the corresponding automation. Post text, generated images, optional alt text and selected photo tags are sent to X. Clicking “Notify the creator!” shares the message and reward image shown in the extension on your X account.
Profile photos load from X image domains. Saved post previews load an X-hosted embed. The extension also requests the public profile of manvankaliber from api.fxtwitter.com to obtain the creator's avatar, with a bundled portrait as a fallback. That service receives your IP address and routine request metadata. The avatar request does not intentionally include your collected follower list, drafts or X session cookie.
The extension has no analytics service or developer-operated data collection server. We do not sell collected information or use it for advertising or credit decisions. Public posts are shared according to your X account and audience settings. X and FxTwitter process requests under their own policies.
Your choices and controls
Automatic posting, automatic scheduling and background monitoring are optional and off by default. You can change these settings in the extension. With Auto submit off, the ordinary Post action prepares a draft for you to review and submit yourself. The “Notify the creator!” button is a separate sharing action and posts the displayed message when clicked.
Developer mode can add synthetic test followers to your local history. Filling a test batch does not automatically post or schedule it.
Use Settings → Advanced → Reset Extension to erase local follower data, batches, drafts, rewards and preferences. Uninstalling the extension removes its storage through your browser's normal uninstall process. Data otherwise remains in that browser profile until reset, uninstalled or cleared by the browser.
Resetting or uninstalling the extension does not delete published posts or cancel schedules already saved on X. Manage those directly on X.
